Special Event! Help restore prairie and shoreline habitats by hand-casting supplemental native seeds across eight acres of pollinator meadow and quarry edges. This effort continues the restoration project launched in 2024 with support from our community of donors and partners.

About the event
Join us for a special Weeds + Quarry Care event where we'll spread thousands of supplementary native grass and wildflower seeds across more than eight acres of prairie meadow and quarry shoreline followed by TBD presentations:

The Wilder World Trust Restoration Update – Our staff will highlight progress made so far through the Heritage Quarries Restoration Plan and share what’s coming next.
This event is open to volunteers of all ages and abilities. No prior experience is needed—just wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather, and bring your enthusiasm. We’ll provide the seed, the guidance, and the gratitude.
