About the event
Join us at the Heritage Quarries Recreation Area for an educational and fun foray into our local birds, bird facts, birding, and more! This is a free event intended for all ages and backgrounds – experience is not required.
Here’s what to expect:
We will spend the first hour at the Nature Education Center (NEC) learning about native birds, bird identification, and other bird facts. Alyssa Szymanski, Naturalist, will be leading the discussion. After the learning portion, we will take to the trails and apply our new knowledge to look for birds!
What to bring:
We recommend wearing hiking shoes and dressing for the elements. Feel free to bring a pair of binoculars for your own use. Drinking water is also good to have.
