About the event
Join us at the Heritage Quarries Recreation Area for an educational and fun foray into our local birds, bird facts, birding, and more!
Here’s what to expect:
We will spend the first hour at the Nature Education Center (NEC) learning about native birds, bird identification, and other bird facts. Alyssa Szymanski, Naturalist, will be leading the discussion. After the learning portion, we will head out to the trails to look for birds and other wildlife around the HQRA.
What to bring:
We recommend wearing hiking shoes and dressing for the elements. Feel free to bring a pair of binoculars for your own use! Drinking water is also good to have.
Parking / Meeting: We will be meeting at the NEC for the first half of the event. The address will take you to the entrance of the Heritage Quarries Recreation Area (HQRA). Follow the road in and take the north…
